We need your help! Spread the word!

I have copied the latest email from Steve below. If you have been helping us off and on, thank you! If you have been thinking about it, now is the time! We are doing good work in this community, but we need help and money to do it. Please email this to anyone you think might be interested in supporting us in any way. If you're involved in a church, or anywhere else that you can put something up on a bulletin board, please help us out. Thank you!

We worked on some painting, trim, and utility room rough in on Sat. morning. We need individuals and groups now to push this house to completion.

We are encouraging every one to join the Carpenters Club and make additional monetary contributions and encourage their church and employers to support our local affiliate financially. Thanks to all who have made recent Carpenter's Club donations.

We have purchased two rehab homes, completed one and will shortly complete the second. As well, we have finished another new home for occupation in less than a year. It is likely that we will need to build a new or acquire a 4-5 bedroom rehab shortly for our next project. This has put a strain on finances especially since the downturn in the economy has reduced our sources of ongoing donations. Please help if you can, and spread the word of what the Clinton County Habitat is doing toward Habitat's global goal of simple decent homes for all of mankind.

Here is a Colfax update:

Ongoing jobs being worked on or to be done at 502 W. Jefferson in Colfax. We can use help at most anytime with these tasks.

1. Painting walls in west bath(same paint as kitchen) and utility room(blue).
2. Cement board on floor in east bath and utility room. This is more fun with two to four people working together. West bath floor cement board and east bath wall cement board as soon as new plumbing work and linen area shelving is completed.
3. Painting, installing, and touch up painting of casing and baseboard in all carpeted rooms.
4. Install French doors in dining room. This will require a crew of four or more and a half day to get siding removed, complete tear out, rough in, and help to install door in place and secure.
5. Clean gutters on house and garage. This can be done anytime. Gloves and 5 gal buckets(on site) only needed items. Call or email Steve if you want to do this when no one else is there.
6. Clean all doors for reinstallation after carpeting and tiling jobs are complete.
7. Install two framed doors from warehouse in utility room. Add new wall in front of water heater for one of the doors. Floor cement board installation in utility can be completed as soon as doors are installed.
8. Floor and wall tiling will be started as soon as other necessary work in each room is completed.
9. Old carpeting can be pulled in all rooms ASAP. Good group project for any still level. Call or email for instructions and access.
10. Work on front windows in living room.
11. Power wash siding on house and garage.
12. Exterior painting as needed.
13. Install new electric furnace and AC(J. R. Neidlinger Co.)
14. Plan for and install deck at French door location.(French door and deck are the partner family special option choices)
15. Clean all cabinets in kitchen and baths.
16. Other small jobs as need arises.
