Some work at the house

Here is a brief video of some of the things we did a few weeks back in the house at 58 Main Avenue in Frankfort. Just click on the arrow at the bottom left of the picture to play the video. I'm a horrible photographer, and worse at video, so I apologize to anyone who is offended by their movie debut. This just gives you an idea of some of the things that go on during a normal work day.

What we're currently up to (as of 3/11/09)

We have been working on a home at 58 Main Avenue in Frankfort since November of last year. This is an older home that we purchased and have been remodeling for Dana Bartley and her three children. There has been a lot of progress on this home, but we still have some work to do. We would like to finish it sometime later this spring. If you would like to help on this home, stop by any Saturday from 8-noon, or call Steve's cell anytime during the week to set up a time to help.

We have also purchased a home at 502 West Jefferson in Colfax, and work is just beginning on it. This home will be remodeled for Misty Pierce and her two children. You can also contact Steve or Jan if you are interested in helping with this home.

We have a new partner family that will be starting their work hours with us, and hopefully will soon move in to the house at 403 Baldwin Court in Frankfort that we finished last fall. This house is in the North Meadows addition off John Street. We will share some more information about this family soon.

Please join us to help make a difference in our county. We can use your help! Whether you are an accomplished carpenter or a complete novice (like me), there are things for you to do. There are lots of other ways you can help us even if you're not handy. We'll try to list some of our other volunteer opportunities at a later date. Please check back to our blog occasionally. We'll try to keep you up to date with what we're doing, and how you can help. Thank you!
